Q.) Where is the salon located?

Q.)What days are you mobile?
Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday are the days Chic Effectz is a Mobile salon. If you have a special request for our mobile services on a different day please contact Chic Effectz via phone or email so we can work with you to meet your Salon needs.
Q.) Is there a travel charge for your mobile service?
Yes, please view our Mobile Salon pricing listed on the Mobile Salon Services page. If you and your party require mobile services on a regular basis, or for a special event and your location falls outside of the city of Calgary limits there may be an additional travel fee. Please contact Chic Effectz for more information.
Q.) Do you offer mobile service to men?
Sorry at this time no. We would be happy to book an appointment at the salon.
Q.) Why Sugar and not wax?
There many advantages for choosing this method over waxing or any other form of epilation.

Q.) How does sugaring differ from waxing? Alexandria Professional sugar paste is molded on the skin against the direction of hair growth. It is then extracted with the direction of hair growth causing less breakage, less pain, less ingrown hair, less skin irritation and exfoliation of the skin. Wax is heated to a very high degree. This causes swelling of the tissue and pain to the skin. The Advanced Technique paste is applied at room temperature, so the Practitioner never runs the risk of burning the clients skin.
Q.) Do I need to grow my hair long like I do with waxing?
NO! Advanced technique Body Sugaring extracts hair at 1/8 of an inch or less. If you typically shave, wax or use other hair removal methods, book your sugaring appointment when you hair growth is 1/8 of an inch and feel the difference sugaring can make for you!
